It's weird how much I LOVE taking photos of others and how much I ADORE writing but when it comes to photos of me and talking about myself I forget how to pose in front of the camera or become confused on how to put words together... so I'm just going to start blabbering about nothing. For starters, my name is Aimee and when I'm not behind the camera I'm probably drinking coffee, sleeping, eating, or going on random drives. I didn't go to school for photography or take any classes, I just picked up my first camera at the age of sixteen and fell in love with photography just a couple seconds after that. Much like other 20-somethings, I did go to college for my other passion which is helping others. I majored in Biobehavioral Health at Pennsylvania State University and currently attend Johns Hopkins University to pursue my MsPH in Health Education and Health Communication with hopes of working with refugee and immigrant populations. But no worries, I'll be carrying my camera by my side through it all.
I am a storyteller, always have and always will be. Every session that I have, I strive to create the best experience possible and make memories with you in the process. We all have those photos where we force a smile or laugh, looking incredibly fake and posed, maybe you had them professionally done or maybe your parents got their first camera and wanted to practice on you. Whatever the case may be, I try my hardest to not have this happen during a photoshoot with me. I want it to be an adventure! I could care less about the time we spend together or the distance we have to go to get your images to be something you'll look back on years from now and think about the good times we spent together and how much fun our session was. I want you to look at these photos and see the genuine, raw emotions that you had expressed during our session.
